Oatley Fine Wine Merchants represents a broad portfolio of wines from respected wine families across Australia and around the world. We’re proudly family owned, serious about wine, and believe good business comes down to good people and strong relationships.

Our 60-person sales team works across metro and regional Australia, and we pride ourselves on being flexible and keeping things simple.

We get to know you and your business, and while our portfolio is extensive, we recommend only the wines we genuinely believe will work for your customers. Ordering is easy, in person or over the phone, and we deliver the next day.

The Oatley family approach

Established in 2006 by the late Bob Oatley, Oatley Fine Wine Merchants is today owned by his son Sandy, who worked alongside his father in wine for decades. Now Sandy’s daughter Nicky is helping shape the next chapter, bringing a third generation of the Oatley family into the wine business.

Wine has been part of the Oatley family for more than half a century. And while plenty has changed over that time, the way we like to do business hasn’t changed all that much: good wine, good people, strong relationships and a genuine commitment to supporting family wine businesses for the long haul.

Meet our newcomers

Welcome to our newest wine families

We’re delighted to welcome Kanakaris Winery from Greece’s northwestern Peloponnese to the OFWM portfolio. Founded in 1979 and now guided by the third generation, Kanakaris is a family-owned producer rooted in the unique terroir of Aigialeia. Its high-altitude vineyards, cool microclimates and sea breezes create expressive wines from indigenous Greek varieties including Assyrtiko, Roditis and Agiorgitiko.

We’ve also recently welcomed Charles de Fère from France. Founded by Jean-Louis Denois, from five generations of Champagne winegrowers, Charles de Fère crafts its cuvées from premium French grapes sourced across the country's most noble regions. Among its finest expressions is the Crémant de Bourgogne - a wine of remarkable poise, drawn from Burgundy's celebrated terroirs and shaped with the precision the appellation demands.
