Oatley Fine Wine Merchants
Good wine starts with good people
From the families who make it to the people who sell, pour and recommend it, we are proud to build lasting relationships around wines we genuinely believe in.
The Oatley Difference
Who are Oatley Fine Wine Merchants?
Oatley Fine Wine Merchants represents a broad portfolio of wines from respected wine families across Australia and around the world. We’re proudly family owned, serious about wine, and believe good business comes down to good people and strong relationships.
Our 60-person sales team works across metro and regional Australia, and we pride ourselves on being flexible and keeping things simple.
We get to know you and your business, and while our portfolio is extensive, we recommend only the wines we genuinely believe will work for your customers. Ordering is easy, in person or over the phone, and we deliver the next day.
Shaped over generations
The Oatley family approach
Established in 2006 by the late Bob Oatley, Oatley Fine Wine Merchants is today owned by his son Sandy, who worked alongside his father in wine for decades. Now Sandy’s daughter Nicky is helping shape the next chapter, bringing a third generation of the Oatley family into the wine business.
Wine has been part of the Oatley family for more than half a century. And while plenty has changed over that time, the way we like to do business hasn’t changed all that much: good wine, good people, strong relationships and a genuine commitment to supporting family wine businesses for the long haul.
Meet our newcomers
Welcome to our newest wine families
We’re delighted to welcome the Knight family’s Granite Hills from the Macedon Ranges to the OFWM portfolio. Owned and operated by Llew and Andrea Knight, Granite Hills has earned more than 500 awards at Australian and international wine shows since its first vintage in 1974, along with a five-red-star rating from the Halliday Wine Companion.
We’ve also recently welcomed Stoney Rise and Holyman from Tasmania’s Tamar Valley. Stoney Rise is a small, family-owned vineyard led by Joe Holyman, with Holyman as its flagship label. Made exclusively from the family’s vineyard, planted in 1986, Holyman focuses solely on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Serious, beautifully made wines with structure, depth and the ability to age.
